Description
The Bank is seeking to recruit a Finance Data & Analytics Manager to join a high performing Finance Operations team .
Responsibilities will include:
- Performing an in-depth analysis of transactional and profitability data, conducting variance analysis on both current and historical data, and presenting comprehensive reports on the findings.
- Diligently monitoring our operational systems to minimize the risk of data inaccuracies and maintain integrity of our operational systems.
- Supporting the Finance Team with data collection, validation and analysis to guarantee accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting package.
- Reviewing, developing, and optimizing team processes to effectively achieve department objectives.
- Providing accurate and up-to-date statistical data to the regulatory authorities.
- Assisting internal stakeholders with their data requests, ensuring all necessary information is provided in an accurate and effective manner.
- Supporting effective communication and collaboration between the Business Intelligence and Finance teams, acting as a point of contact for all data-related inquiries and issues.
- Obtaining an in-depth understanding of the tools available and effectively transfer the knowledge to the team.
- Other ad-hoc tasks delegated by the Head of department.
Requirements
Candidate must haves:
- Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
- Proven track record and at least five years of experience in financial services, data analytics or big data
- At least three years of experience successfully leading and managing a team
- Highly organized and able to work on own initiative
- Be a team player, flexible, and able to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient at handling numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced excel knowledge
- Experience working with Power BI (or similar), as well as proficiency in statistical tools and models (such as R or Python) are considered an asset
- Possession of ACCA qualification is considered an advantage
