Description

Responsibilities will include:


    Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, involving the processing and posting of bills and invoices and their timely and accurate settlement;


    Maintaining the General Ledger through the recording of accounting entries in relation to accounting estimates, petty cash, corporate payment cards activity and other similar financial transactions;  


    Completing several month end closure procedures such as bank and other reconciliations to support the preparation of management accounts;


    Handling day-to-day accounting duties, maintaining appropriate control over reports including the Fixed Assets Register and Contracts Register to ensure proper form and order at all times;


    Contributing to the overall effectiveness of the finance function, liaising and maintaining good working relationships with other departments within the organization;


    Preparing financial reports and completing other ad hoc tasks delegated by the manager. 


Requirements


    A minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience with general ledger functions and month-end closure processes;


    Possess a minimum of an A Level in Accounts 


    Skillful in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Excel;


    Good knowledge of accounting and IFRS principles;


    Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills;


    Experience in and knowledge of VAT will be considered an asset;


    Be highly organized, pro-active self-starter, able to work on own initiative, and exerts high attention to detail;


    Self-driven to learn and grow, deadline oriented and adapts rapidly to a fast-paced working environment;


    able to work diligently and on own initiative with minimal supervision.
